Japan Marubeni-Itochu Steel announced to build a coil center in Indi in order to meet growing demand from the auto sector. Marubeni-Itochu owns a subsidiary called MI Steel Processing India Private Limited in southeastern India.

The company said that the new coil center will start operating from April 2014 with annual capacity of 90,000 tons. Marubeni-Itochu has several facilities in India. Caparo MI Steel Processing plant at Haryana can produce 6,000 tons of tailor-welded blanking annually.
