UK supermarket chain Harrods is withdrawing various bags of its own brand Chinese New Year Gold Coins as they contain milk and soya, which are not mentioned on the label, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) said.

The products being recalled include Harrods Chinese New Year Bag of Gold Coins and Harrods Chinese New Year Plush Teddy with Gold Coins of 80g, featuring 'Best before' date 23 December 2014.

These products were manufactured in a facility that uses nut ingredients, the agency stated.

No other Harrods products are affected with the withdrawal.

Consumers intolerant to milk or its constituents, soya and/or nuts have been advised not to eat the implicated products and instead contact Harrods Customer Loyalty Team.

Harrods has alerted the relevant allergy support organizations, which will inform their members about the withdrawal.

The affected products will be re-labeled with the correct allergen information and will be made available for sale.
