India-based manufacturer of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), Tilaknagar Industries (TI) has announced the acquisition of P P Caps.

P P Caps is setting up a plant in the state of Maharashtra, which is expected to commence commercial production by June 2012. The plant will manufacture 25mm and 29/35mm caps having a capacity of 6,00,000 and 50,000 caps respectively per day.

TI said the acquisition will ensure lower costs with respect to the company's bottling and packaging processes.

TI chairman & managing director Amit Dahanukar said the acquisition will allow the company to strengthen its operations by way of reduction in the costs of raw material related to bottle caps.

Currently TI has its manufacturing facilities spread across India and its primary manufacturing facility is in Maharashtra with an installed capacity of 100 KLPD including a new 50 KLPD molasses based distillation plant.
