Retail imports into the U.S. are forecast to total 1.53 million containers in October, up 6.4% and topping the 1.52 million monthly record set in August when monthly imports rose 2.1%.

Sep. imports increased an estimated 2.8% to 1.48 million TEU. Nov. imports are projected to rise 3.7% to 1.39 million TEU and Dec. imports are forecast to increase 3.9% to 1.37 million TEU.
